One site, one team, every study.
SCRI is the research arm of Nephrology Associates, PC, the largest private-practice nephrology group in the CSRA. The physicians who see patients in clinic are the investigators on every protocol, so a coordinator here works beside the treating nephrologist, not across town from them.
The work happens at 1521 Anthony Road, a dedicated research facility in Augusta's medical district: a CLIA-certified laboratory, on-site pharmacy and investigational product management, private monitor space, and a research schedule that is not squeezed between clinic appointments.
Staff are assigned by study and introduced to sponsors on that trial directly. Investigators and coordinators meet weekly to review enrollment, screen failures, and protocol questions. Every open study, every week. Regulatory is a dedicated job, not a coordinator's spare hour.

- Clinical Research CoordinatorCCRC trackRuns studies day to day: pre-screening against the protocol, consent visits, study visits, source documentation, and the working relationship with the sponsor's monitor. Coordinators here complete more than two years of hands-on experience before certification through the Association of Clinical Research Professionals.What you bring. Clinical or research experience, a steady hand with documentation, and the patience to explain a protocol in plain language.
- Research AssistantEntry into researchSupports the coordinators: scheduling, participant reminders, data entry into the sponsor's electronic data capture system, sample logistics, and the study binders that make an audit uneventful.What you bring. Attention to detail and comfort with patients and paperwork in equal measure. Medical assistant or phlebotomy experience is welcome, not required.
- Laboratory TechnicianCLIA-certified on-site labProcesses study samples in the institute's own laboratory: centrifugation, aliquoting, labelling, temperature logs, and shipping to central labs exactly as each protocol specifies.What you bring. Laboratory or phlebotomy training and respect for a chain of custody. Every tube is somebody's data point.
- Pharmacy TechnicianInvestigational productWorks under the Pharmacy and Lab Manager on investigational product: receipt, storage, temperature monitoring, accountability logs, and dispensing per protocol.What you bring. Certified pharmacy technician preferred. Precision matters more than speed.
